Actress Anne
Hathaway has defended the hard-partying ways of Lindsay Lohan,
insisting all young people enjoy behaving wildly from time to
time.
Hathaway, 24, empathises with Lohan but hopes the young star
will soon calm down and concentrate on her career.
She says, "You know, Lindsay and I have a lot more in common
than people think. It's just I did stuff at college, when nobody
knew about it, so I'm not a saint.
"I just hope she finds some comfort in the way she chooses to
live. I wasted time doing self-destructive things, but it didn't
work. I found you can only dance on so many table tops."
Twenty-year-old Lohan was spotted clubbing last weekend, just
days after checking out of Hollywood rehab clinic the Wonderland
Centre, where she undertook a 30-day treatment programme.

20-year-old, who is not legally allowed to drink in the US, was
photographed late Friday night (16FEB07) at Los Angeles club Les
Deux. |

Jessica Biel
has stepped into troubled Lindsay Lohan's shoes on the set of
period movie A Woman of No Importance after the 20 year-old quit
the production citing her need to take a break.
Lohan was scheduled to team up with Annette Bening in the movie
adaptation of Oscar Wilde's classic novel, but pulled out
earlier this month after checking into a Los Angeles rehab to
seek help for her wild ways.
And Lohan's loss is Biel's gain--she'll now play Hester Worsley
in the production, according to In Touch magazine.
Lohan announced she was pulling out of the film, stating she
wanted to concentrate on getting sober following her decision to
go into rehab.
The role isn't the first time Biel has picked up after Lohan--the
Mean Girls star's assistant quit to work for Biel on the set of
The Illusionist, according to the publication. |

in Rehab |

Lindsay Lohan
has sparked fears she isn't taking her stint in rehab seriously
after partying with pal Paris Hilton at a Hollywood club last
weekend.
The Mean Girls star checked herself into a rehabilitation
facility last month but has been spotted out shopping and having
lunch with friends.
On Friday night, Lohan and Hilton sparked a media frenzy on
their way out of Les Deux nightclub.
Lohan, who is 20-years-old and not allowed to legally drink, was
spotted again less than 24 hours later sneaking out of West
Hollywood nightclub Area alone.
The star has reportedly angered other residents in her rehab
facility who claim she is using the premises more like a hotel
than a treatment facility.
Lohan's representative Leslie Sloane Zelnik slammed reports she
was getting favorable treatment last week, saying, "Lindsay is
100 percent not getting special treatment.
"This isn't the Betty Ford clinic, it's not a lock-down
facility. There is personal time." |

Lohan's mom has reunited with her troubled daughter in
rehab--and she took TV cameras with her.
Dina Lohan, her daughter Ali and a childhood friend of Lindsay's
made the trip from New York to Los Angeles earlier this week to
meet up with the actress at the Wonderland clinic, which she
checked into last month.
Dina invited TV cameras from news shows The Insider and
Entertainment Tonight to join her for the trip, in the hope it
would give her the chance to tell her daughter's fans how
worried she is.
And she hit the streets of Hollywood before meeting up with her
daughter to show TV cameras what her daughter has to put up
with, as the paparazzi swarmed her.
Explaining her decision to make the reunion trip a public
affair, Dina says, "I'm gonna stop the madness before my child
ends up killed."
Of her own experiences with the paparazzi, who she claims follow
her troubled daughter everywhere, Dina adds, "After a long day's
work, you just don't want to have to deal with that stress, and
there's a respect line that they're crossing.
"They're chasing her in a car, which is a (Princess) Diana
waiting to happen... and I wanna kind of let them know we're
gonna be watching her watching you." |
