The mother of teen actress Lindsay Lohan has filed for divorce in New York.

Former Rockette Dina Lohan cited cruel and inhuman treatment and adultery as the reasons she wants to end her 19-year marriage to Michael Lohan, E! Online reported.

The split follows Michael Lohan's court-ordered rehab for showing up uninvited at the family's Long Island home in violation of a restraining order taken out by his wife. He also made headlines after punching a New York sanitation worker, failing to pay a hotel bill and hitting his brother-in-law with a shoe.

Lindsay Lohan, star of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, refused to see her father when he came to visit her in a Los Angeles hospital last fall when she was being treated for exhaustion.

Dina Lohan has custody of their three other children, who are all under 18.
